Keep Calm...

AMEN!!

Little bit of happiness: Today one of my friends at work brought me a lot of extra Proactiv that her daughter no longer wanted to use! Sounds silly that this was the highlight of my day, but a little bit of help goes a loooong way. I was also very thankful that she thought of me! Thanks :)

Lemongrass Consultant at Your Service!!

As of this evening I am beginning my journey as a Lemongrass Consultant!!

Lemongrass is a small compant that makes exclusive natural spa products that are freshly handmade in the Colorado Rockies... and ALL NATURAL!! They have amazing products for facials, makeup, pedicures, as well as stuff for babies and fragrances. I attended a party at my hairdresser's house and quickly fell in love with the products, especially the makeup.

I will be focusing on three different areas:
1. Parties (facials or pedicures) ... where you can earn hostess benefits!
2. Personal orders
3. Even online orders!!

If you are interested in looking at the all natural products go to: lemongrassspa.com
Once I get up and going I will have my own site where you can directly buy from me! :)
If you are interested in finding out more or hosting a party, please just let me know! I am excited to get started with this and would love a little jump start into this with the help of the already lovely ladies in my life!! I promise there will be absolutely no hassles, if you don't feel comfortable with a party you can order on your own.

Little bit of happiness: Definitely has to be the beginning of a new journey. Although it may earn me a little money, I am just excited to get a start with the product myself. I can see this opening many doors! :)

Cheap Laughs Are Worth A Lot

Try not to smile at that picture... I dare you! :)

Little bit of happiness: After a long trip and trying to wobble my way around, it was good to be home... and have Emmie hear with me since she spent the week at my parents so we could get her into a much cheaper vet! (Thyroid problem... looks like meds are in her future, haha my poor kid)

How Much Are You Worth?

Found this on Pinterest, just something weird to think about.... EEEK

Little bit of happiness: After a long day spent at the track for Play Day, I left for Topeka to spend the weekend with my college roommate. When I got there she gave me my birthday gift, a candle made from a Relax wine bottle... probably the most unique gift I have ever received. Man, does she ever know me... good memories. Love you Alli!

Birthday Girl!

Only appropriate since it is my birthday! Started off right, with a 7 AM call from one of my friends 4 year olds... and he had remembered all by himself!! Then it was a pretty good day at school, where the flowers from my dad arrived! It has been a long standing tradition of his, and it's just a small reason what he is the best father EVER! My girlfriends all meet up at Bad Habits, one of our favorite places, for a yummy meal. Then we went to the mall and I picked up my "Audra Nautical Wedges" I had ordered... meant to be :) and then onto the nail salon to get pedicures! Great, simple birthday... so thankful for those in my life that make me feel super special. Love you all!!

Day 30 (LAST DAY!!): Your goals for the next 30 days.

May is a BIG month. I plan on getting done with school in the middle of the month and then its onto a two week nonstop trip because I'm getting the heck out of Dodge! It will start with the GRE in Wichita, martial arts class, going to my grandma's with mom, face doctor appointment, WEDDING/MAID OF HONOR dress shopping with Rachel, doing something brand new with my hair, as well as getting the things done around the house that needs finished!! BUSY BUSY BUSY time of year... and love it!!

Little bit of happiness: It was all a GREAT DAY... I love the feeling when flowers arrive, so that has to be the highlight of the day, especially since they were from my daddy!

Looking Back on April

Got through April just fine, and focused on how things were going around the house. I had found out before that I put too many restrictions on what I wanted to do during the month, and so I made things a little more relaxed for this month. I know what I wanted to focus on: HOME. So basically I was just looking to do things around the house to make it more organized and feel more homey... mainly focusing on "The Oasis Room" upstairs.

Did pretty well, especially with the decor for upstairs. Got all of it finished, minus the trash to treasure lamps... and you can see all of the projects in previous posts. All of it is ready to go! Need to toss all of the boxes, which I had planned to do until I spent the day in front of the TV watching for Tornado Warnings... SMH. So that will be the next thing I want to get done around the house. Junk out, decor up, Oasis finished! I also need to get the closets and everything  organized for sure. So once again, this will be carrying over into months to come and I'm okay with that!
----------------------------------------

For the Bucket List I only crossed off three items again and did small little steps towards some of the others. The ones I completed were: INFLUENCE CHANGE, BOOK CLUB, PLANT. Influencing change was the when I noticed great change with some of the kids in my room. I hope to continue influencing change, by getting my foster care license. We will be starting it off next month with my first house walk through and hopefully begin classes. The Book Club is something that I am doing with a friend with church. It is a bible study based off of a book, so I'm counting it! I barely squeaked in planting, but on the last day of the month I put in new flowers in the flower bed. Here soon some friends will be helping me plant zucchini in the backyard. I made steps with paying off credit cards, with two down! In May, I will also be doing my GRE test to start my Master's, doing a martial arts class with my step-cousin, and hope to get some other little ones done here and there!

----------------------------------------

This month I fell a bit behind with only 8 books: all eight were from my list. That means I have one extra book for the month of May! I can do this!!  I am also switching one of my books... from one Jersy Shore cast member to another. No more Snooki, because Vinny just wrote a book! Haha. So the list below is updated with the books I have read in bold, along with the dates I read them in. Once again, see my book review site to see what I thought about each read.

In the Month of May

I have been having a tough time figuring out which area I would like to do next... Creativity, Family and Friends, or Nature. I think I will be using the summer to devote more time to the first two so NATURE it is! This month I would like to...
- keep the yard mowed and flowers watered
- plant veggies (zucchini)
- start recycling
- enjoy and appreciate nature with every chance

Onto something much cuter...
If I can't have a baby otter... I would take a Pygmy Hippo! OMG, how cute is he?!

Day 28: Something that you miss.

Hmmm... it wouldn't say someTHING, more like someONEs. Even though I'm happy with life, I would love it if I could see my family and friends that live elsewhere much more often. I also miss being in a healthy relationship with a guy, however, I don't know that I can say I've really ever had one. Haha. Oh well, maybe someday.
Little bit of happiness: I love art... and today I started a project with the kids. It involves watercolor and black glue combined with Oh, The Places You'll Go and hot air balloons. I hope they turn out great, and I will be posting pictures of the final projects later on!
